Detox Myths: What Juice Can and Cannot Do

Start with What the Body Already Does
The liver, kidneys, lungs, digestive system, and skin continually process and remove waste. A juice does not replace those systems, pull heavy metals from the body, or erase the effects of an unbalanced diet. Rapid weight changes during a restrictive cleanse are also not the same as lasting fat loss.
Detox is the name of a current JHW juice. Its ingredient list is apple, cucumber, celery, kale, spinach, lemon, ginger, parsley, cilantro, and Celtic Sea Salt. That makes it a convenient way to enjoy a variety of produce in one 12-ounce drink, not a medical detoxification treatment.
If you want a simple routine reset, focus on habits that do not require starvation: drink water, eat regular balanced meals, limit alcohol if you drink it, sleep consistently, and use juice as one beverage within that routine. People who are pregnant, managing a medical condition, taking medication, or considering a highly restrictive cleanse should talk with a qualified clinician first.
